Introduction:

Like many of you reading this… I did not start out in the hair business. I took the traditional path of going to University (Environmental Science) then getting a graduate degree in Spatial Analysis and eventually landing a decent paying government job. I stuck that out for 7 years, doing the 9-5 thing. I did like my job most days but hated sitting in a cubicle everyday and deep down I knew I was meant for more.

All of my life, I always looked up to entrepreneurs and especially the business owners that I worked under through my highschool and university jobs. I also always had a passion for hair and beauty. I was always that friend that was doing everyone else’s hair. But I always thought that a career in hairdressing was mediocre and didn’t pay well. Boy, was I wrong!

I started a little side business doing extensions to satisfy my need for running my own business and to satisfy my love of doing hair. It did require me to work every evening after my 9-5 and every weekend but still, I loved it! Fast forward a couple years later, and I quit my 9-5 to pursue my business full time. And I have never regretted it, not even once!
